Year after year TOERSA continues to grow at a great pace. When we started in 2008 we had a handful of security guards, we now employ over 600 security guards annually. We have teams working in Eastern Ontario, GTA, and Western Quebec.
We provide the Ontario Security Guard Training Course as mandated by the Private Security and Investigative Services Branch to help new applicants get their security guard license. We have also expanded into Protective Services, Loss Prevention, and Private Investigations. Our growth is the direct result of an excellent team.
Our management team does a great job improving procedures and putting new systems in place. The front line Security Guards continue to exceed expectations. Ongoing recruitment has helped to develop our team of competent security guards focused on customer service.

TOERSA Security specializes in the handling of alcohol related issues at events and festivals. “TOERSA” is an acronym for two of the services we provide, Training and On-site Enforcement of the Responsible Service of Alcohol. Through pre-event training of all staff members and on-site enforcement, we greatly decrease the likelihood of any problems related to the sale or service of alcohol. TOERSA’s primary focus is major events and festivals that serve alcohol to the public in Ottawa and the surrounding area. These organizations typically have a special operating permit (SOP) in order to sell and serve alcohol to the public. SOPs are issued through the Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO).
The TOERSA TEAM is committed to changing the face of security in Ottawa and the surrounding areas over time. We feel that refined customer service and proper training will lead to more interactive security. This will ultimately reshape the public's perception of security. The key benefits of working with TOERSA include our in-house training and certification program and our focus on customer service at a competitive price.Training and certification is part of the hiring criteria for TOERSA which includes: Security License, First Aid and CPR training, WHMIS, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training, Smart Serve Certification, and experience working where alcohol is served. In addition to ensuring that TOERSA guards receive training according to the ministry of community safety and correctinal services, we are also a registered supplier of the Ontario Security Guard Curriculum and offer security guard training for people outside the TOERSA family.
